This pool is multi-use (for classes, learn to swim and family use), is always supervised by qualified lifeguards.
The indoor pool has a ramp for easy access, a hoist and aquatic wheelchair.
Please note that there are some regular bookings for the indoor pool which mean the whole pool is not always available.
Outdoor Pool
Our second 25m, 1.15m deep pool is located outside. This pool is also heated, so a great place to do your swim training. It is open for the public and supervised by lifeguards. Matamata swimming club train here all year round.
Please note that there are some regular bookings for the outdoor pool, which means the whole pool is not always available.
Spa
Our spa is kept maintained at 38 degrees - the ideal temperature for a relaxing soak (especially after a training session in the pool or gym!). The spa is closed Friday afternoons for cleaning.
Summer Pools:
Dive Pool
The 2.74m deep dive pool is designed for jumping, bombing and diving. With a trampoline and a bombing platform this pool is loads of fun for kids of all ages!
Competent swimmers only and children under the age of 8 years must be actively supervised by a caregiver 16 years or older at all times
The dive pool can also be made available for training and rehab upon request with access to equipment such as aqua belt and dumbbells.
During summer we hold Aqua and hydrofit classes in the dive pool. Click here to see a class timetable.
Toddler Pool
The toddler pool idea ideal for kids of any age - with a sloped floor it means young ones can safely play in the water without getting out of their depth.
This pool is supervised by lifeguards, but parents must stay within arms reach of their children at all times.
Please note that there are some regular bookings for the toddler's pool, which mean the whole pool is not always available.
Lifeguards are on duty at all times however the National Pool Alone Policy stipulates that children under the age of 8 years must be actively supervised by a caregiver 16 years or older at all times. This means being within sight, within reach and being able to provide immediate assistance.
Supervision of young children is a shared responsibility for all the community and lifeguards play an important role in this. However ultimate responsibility lies with the caregiver. Your children are precious, please keep a close eye on them at all times
